National Rebuilding Together Day

Every year on the last Saturday of April, Rebuilding Together Southeast Michigan joins affiliates across the country to provide free home repairs to low-income homeowners who are elderly, disabled, military veterans, and families with children who are unable to repair their homes themselves. Thousands of community volunteers nationwide fix-up the homes and yards of those in need so that they can live in a safer, more comfortable and pleasant environment.

Southeast Michigan Rebuild Days

Due to the fact that homeowners have home rehabilitation needs outside of the month of April, our Southeast Michigan Rebuilding Together Days provide the same model of service as our National Rebuild programs but take place throughout the rest of the year. Qualifying applicants who were not able to be served on National Rebuild Day are eligible for this program contingent on the availability of funding and volunteers. These projects typically take place over one or two days with a volunteer team that sponsors the project.

* General qualifications include being low income, owning your home, being current on mortgage and taxes, and having active homeowners insurance.
